Designing & Renovating Homes in Fairfield, Connecticut
Fairfield has an interesting mix of homes. Older properties with character sit alongside newer construction, expanded Capes, Colonials, and homes that have evolved through several rounds of renovation. Often, the opportunity isn’t simply to make them prettier. It’s to make the entire house make more sense.
That might mean rethinking a floor plan that no longer works, creating a kitchen that better connects to the rest of the home, adding architectural detail where it was stripped away, or making sure a newer renovation doesn’t feel disconnected from the original house.
Our work starts with the home as a whole. We consider architecture, function, materials, furnishings, lighting, and the smaller details together so that one decision supports the next.
The result is a home that feels cohesive rather than pieced together — and designed for both the way you live now and the way you intend to live there for years to come.

A Historic Greenfield Hill Home
Some homes give you a very clear direction before you make a single design decision.
This Greenfield Hill estate began its life as Bronson’s Mill and came to us with an extraordinary architectural vocabulary already in place — antique carved doors sourced from a French monastery, wide-plank walnut floors, substantial wood beams, and a large European plaster fireplace at the heart of the home.
Our job wasn’t to compete with that history or polish away what made the house interesting. It was to build upon it.
We approached the interiors with the architecture as our starting point, introducing furnishings, materials, lighting, and details that felt appropriate to the scale and character of the home while making it comfortable and relevant for the family living there today. The result feels layered rather than decorated — a home where old-world architecture and everyday family life are allowed to exist together.
