Expert Consulting is a 90-minute, designer-led walkthrough of your home designed to address your most pressing design questions and unlock confident next steps. This session is conversational and highly tailored—rooted in verbal guidance, spatial understanding, and design principles you can apply across rooms and over time.

During our time together, we’ll walk through your home and focus on the decisions that matter most.

In this session, we may cover:

  • Overall layout, flow, and spatial relationships
  • Furniture placement, scale, and proportion
  • Color direction, pattern balance, and material cohesion
  • Foundational design principles that can be applied throughout your home
  • Verbal guidance delivered in real time (clients are encouraged to take notes or record for reference)

This session is entirely customized to your space, lifestyle, and priorities. In 90 minutes, we typically review an entire ~2,500 sq. ft. home or focus more deeply on 5–7 rooms of your choosing.

Step 01: Schedule Your Appointment

Select your desired format (in person or virtual) as well as a date and time using the scheduling link below to secure your Expert Consulting session. Once booked, preparation begins so our time together is focused, efficient, and tailored to your space.

Step 02: Complete Your Questionnaire

We’ll send you a detailed questionnaire to complete at least 48 hours in advance. This ensures we have all the insights we need to tailor our time together, making every minute of your session productive and focused on your priorities.

Step 03: It’s Consult Day

The day is here! Come prepared with your list of questions, a notebook, and a pen so you can capture every detail. If your appointment is virtual, a recording will be available immediately after your session. We’ll dive right in, tackling your priorities and giving you clear, actionable direction to move your project forward.

This service is catered to the home decor enthusiast who is capable of taking our recommendations and executing them independently. Typically, this is a homeowner who has an eye for design, time on their hands and enjoys shopping for home decor but wants professional guidance or decision confirmation before executing.

For In Person: To make the most of your session we recommend walking through your priority spaces with your partner and writing down questions you have for each space. This includes a ton of verbal notation. We always recommend our clients come with a notebook and pen to take notes. Since there’s no follow up with this service and we don’t keep internal notes, you’ll need these to refer back to.

For Virtual: Additional homework will be required to send us the necessary documentation, photography of your space and your list of questions. Similarly, we recommend walking through your priority spaces with your partner and writing down questions you have for each space prior to completing your homework. 

Absolutely! We like to arm you with information so each session will be specific to you woven with design principles. These design “rules” allow you to execute consistency across multiple rooms and understand how to bring everything together. Additionally, we take your questionnaire responses to learn more about you so when we dive in, it’s with the knowledge of who you are, what your lifestyle needs are and what you like. 

In Person: This session is high-level ideas with some specifics so we can typically move through a entire 2,500 sq.ft. home. If your home is larger, one floor might be more realistic.

 

Virtual: We’re able to hone in on 5-7 rooms at with a great level of detail.

 

You’re welcome to book as many sessions as you need to accomplish your home goals.

We’re happy to consult on construction or renovation projects to the best of our ability with the information provided. It would be best to have your list of questions ready to go, and any product samples handy. Please be sure to send us any floor plans, documents, or visuals you have in advanced so we have time to review and can use your time wisely.

Since these are high-stakes projects, we highly encourage Full Service Design to ensure cohesion and avoid the pitfalls of misc. feedback. 

If you already have samples of products you’re considering, please ensure they’re available the day of and we’ll help you make decisions. 

Otherwise, we’re happy to give you product recommendations and aligned retail companies but it will be up to you to locate the products, purchase the products and install them in your home.

For assistance with sourcing and procurement, our Full Service Furnishings would be a great fit! 

This consultation can be booked as many times as needed, without limitations. We do accept limited appointments, so we always encourage booking out once you know ongoing support is needed.

If you need more support, our Full Service Design offers a more comprehensive design approach.

Refunds are accepted within 72 hours of booking. After this period, your session is considered confirmed and the fee becomes non-refundable.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests are accepted up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment and may be made directly through your confirmation link. Requests made within 24 hours of the appointment are not guaranteed; however, if an issue arises, please email us at [email protected].

 

Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours may be accommodated one time at our discretion. Any additional late rescheduling or missed appointments will result in forfeiture of the session fee.

Limitations

This service is intended to provide clarity and direction rather than replace full-service design. It is not intended for reviewing plans, contractor or vendor coordination, detailed drawings, product sourcing, procurement, installation or styling. Additional fees may be required for such.

All recommendations are shared verbally during the session to support thoughtful, informed decision-making at your own pace.  We are providing our thoughts and opinions on your project with the information we have available which may not be not a complete representation of your project.
